From the Airport to Cambridge Train Station

National Express buses are available to take you from many airports in the country to Cambridge. You can book your bus ticket here.

Otherwise, you can take the train. You can book your train tickets on the official website or the third party platforms like TrainPal, Trip.com, Trainline through their website or app. For London-based airports:

If you are arriving from Heathrow Airport

You can take several tube lines, including the Elizabeth Line which offers the fastest route. You should take one of these tubes to Kings Cross train station, or to Farringdon train station.

  • From Kings Cross, take a Great Northern train to Cambridge train station.
  • From Farringdon, take a Thames Link train to Cambridge train station.

This journey takes about 2 hours.

If you are arriving from Stansted Airport

You can take several trains, including the Stansted Express train which runs directly from Stansted Airport to Cambridge train station.

This journey takes about 30 minutes.

If you are arriving from Luton Airport

From Luton Airport parkway train station, you can take a Thameslink or EMR train to St Pancras International or Farringdon and change to Liverpool Street or Tottenham Hale to take a Greater Anglia train to Cambridge train station.

This journey takes about 2.5 hours.

If you are arriving from Gatwick Airport

You can take several trains from Gatwick airport, including Thameslink (runs directly to Cambridge) and Gatwick Express, to London Bridge or Victoria. Here, change to Liverpool Street or Tottenham Hale station and take a Greater Anglia train straight to Cambridge train station.

This journey takes about 2 hours.

If you are arriving from London City Airport

You can take the Elizabeth line straight from London City Airport. This tube will take you to Farringdon station where you should then take a Thameslink train to Cambridge.

This journey takes around 1.5 hours.

 


 

From Cambridge Train Station to Churchill College

It takes roughly one hour to walk from Cambridge train station to Churchill College. Therefore we recommend:

There are many buses that run in Cambridge during the day that will take you close to Churchill College (including 4, 8, U1, U2, X3, PR1).
